Armenian children from the Archives of Project SAVE. That stage of life called childhood is inescapbable, and it reappears for most of us when we have families of our own. The childhood of our children brings back many of our own earliest experiences and emotions, both pleasant and painful.
The camera’s shutter keeps the past open, preserving memories that would soon be forgotten, providing a record of life’s moments that have shaped our personalities. Images of children, whether posed or caught unaware, reconnect us to the child within us. Children of the past become children of the future.
