The Spirit of Survival : Armenians through the Camera's Eye
Exhbit Label:
BOGOS BOGOSIAN FAMILY
Palou, town near Kharpert, Historic Armenia, Ottoman Empire, circa 1910
Composite photograph

The original photo (the right side) was taken to send to Sahag, Bogos's son and the father of the children in the photo, who was working in the United States. The suited men on the left were "dropped into" the original photograph years later after this father and son were reunited through the International Red Cross. The others in the photograph were killed in the Genocide, except for the boy, Serop, at the right, who is also the man at the left.
